Creating an SPL token on Solana

Before you start

• Connect Phantom.
• Have a small amount of SOL for rent + fees (~0.002 SOL).

Steps

1. Go to /launch/token.
2. Pick Solana.
3. Fill in name, symbol, decimals, and initial supply.
4. Approve the mint in Phantom.
5. The mint address and tx signature appear on success.

Notes

• The mint authority is your wallet — you can mint more later or burn it to fix supply.
• Token metadata (logo, description) requires a separate Metaplex Token Metadata step. Most apps show your token by mint address regardless.
